France's CAC 40 Slides; Carmakers Peugeot, Renault Pace the Drop

(Bloomberg) -- French stocks fell, paced by PSA
Peugeot Citroen SA and Renault SA.

The CAC 40 Index slid 40.22, or 0.7 percent, to 5867.25 at
4:22 p.m. in Paris. The SBF 120 Index also fell 0.7 percent.

GLOBAL MARKETS-Equities rebound but credit worries remain

(Reuters) - Credit spreads in Europe tightened after widening some 30
basis points a day earlier.




The FTSEurofirst 300 index of top European shares
rose 0.8 percent, as did London's FTSE 100 index ,
Frankfurt's DAX and Paris's CAC 40 .

UPDATE 1-Air Liquide shares rise on KKR bid talk - traders

(Reuters) - LONDON, July 10 - Shares in French industrial
gases group Air Liquide rose sharply on Tuesday on
market talk of bid interest from private equity group KKR
[KKR.UL], traders said.




At 0814 GMT, Air Liquide stock was up 4.5 percent, topping
gainers on France's CAC 40 index , which was up 0.05
percent.

(Bloomberg) -- French stocks declined, led by
Sanofi-Aventis SA and BNP Paribas SA.

The CAC 40 Index retreated 27.77, or 0.5 percent, to
5912.32 at 9:19 a.m. The SBF 120 Index slipped 0.4 percent.

French Shares Gain, Paced by Veolia Environnement; Groupe Danone Increases

(Bloomberg) -- French stocks advanced, led by Veolia
Environnement SA and Groupe Danone.

The CAC 40 Index added 6.65, or 0.1 percent, to 6110.65 at
9:15 a.m. in Paris, as 21 stocks rose, 16 fell and two were
unchanged. The broader SBF 120 Index added 2.7, or 0.1 percent,
to 4467.33.

France Telecom, GEA Grenobloise, Lafuma, Vinci: French Equity Preview

(Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies may
make gains or losses on the Paris stock exchange. Stock symbols

The CAC 40 Index rose 61.85, or 1 percent, to 6104, for a
2.4 percent gain this month. This is the CAC 40's third straight
monthly increase. The SBF 120 Index added 1 percent.
