FTSE 100 Advances, Paced by Tate & Lyle, British Energy and Xstrata

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks advanced, paced by Tate &
Lyle Plc, British Energy Group Plc and Xstrata Plc.

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index rallied 21.8, or 0.3 percent,
to 6711.9 in London at 8:06 a.m. The FTSE All-Share Index added
9.88, or 0.3 percent, to 3464.01. Ireland's ISEQ Index rose 9.87
to 9461.03.

Norilsk says S.Africa regulator clears LionOre bid

(Reuters) - Norilsk's all-cash offer expires on June 28. The latest
offer trumped a bid by Anglo-Swiss miner Xstrata Plc .




Norilsk and LionOre both have operations in South Africa.

U.K. Stocks Rally, Paced By Antofagasta, Xstrata, Rio Tinto; ISEQ Slides

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks gained, led by
Antofagasta Plc. The owner of three copper mines in Chile rose to
a record after saying 2007 will be a ``good'' year as demand in
China, the world's biggest consumer of the metal, keeps prices
``firm.''

Rio Tinto Group and Xstrata Plc also climbed. J Sainsbury
Plc gained on renewed takeover speculation.

U.K. FTSE 100 Index Rebounds; Anglo American, Xstrata and Lonmin Advance

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks rebounded, paced by Anglo
American Plc, Xstrata Plc and Lonmin Plc.

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index increased 10.6, or 0.2 percent,
to 6651.5 at 10:21 a.m. in London, after falling as much as 0.3
percent earlier. The FTSE All-Share Index rose 0.2 percent to
3456.45. Ireland's ISEQ Index gained 0.8 percent to 9743.23.
