(Reuters) - Maple bonds are foreign debt issued in Canadian dollars,
and have become a growing choice for investors looking to
diversify their holdings.
"Maples are approximately 50 percent of new issue supply in
the Canadian marketplace, year-to-date 2007," said Susan
Rimmer, managing director at Merrill Lynch.
