(Reuters) - The company's earnings on a preliminary basis fell to 26 cents a share, compared with 64 cents a share in the year-ago period, it said in a statement.
On April 17, the Spokane, Washington-based utility said it agreed to sell its Avista Energy unit to Coral Energy Holding L.P., a unit of Anglo-Dutch oil company Shell .
