US tech shares fall on IBM, Yahoo results

(Reuters) - U.S. technology stocks fell on Wednesday after disappointing results from Yahoo Inc. and IBM raised concerns about the outlook for tech spending.

Shares of International Business Machines Corp. dropped more than 2 percent and were the biggest drag on the Dow. But a 4 percent rise in shares of JPMorgan Chase & Co., which posted a stronger-than-expected quarterly profit, buoyed the blue-chip average. For details, see ID:nN18454450.
